I am a certified professional tour guide with an interest in Houston history and life, Houston art and architecture, and NASA’s manned spaceflight program.
Before becoming a tour guide, I spent over 30 years supporting NASA’s Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs as a member of one of its major contractor teams.
As a former aerospace engineer, I am aware of some of the more interesting facts and anecdotes from the space program that others may not be aware of, lending unique incites to any NASA related tour.
I have also had a life long interest in art and architecture. I first traveled to Europe in my 20s and was impressed by the incredible art collections and architectural surroundings. Admittedly, I did not understand much of it but could appreciate its beauty. When I had the opportunity, I completed a graduate program, including art history, to gain a better understanding of the art world so different from the world of science and engineering I was a part of.
I have now resided in Houston for over 20 years and have become familiar with the city’s history and of what makes Houston a great place to live and visit. My tours are customized to each visitor’s needs as I wish to create an experience satisfying the unique needs of each guest.
My goal is to leave visitors with an increased appreciation for the city, and more importantly, with a desire to return and experience more of what Houston has to offer. That is the greatest compliment to any Houstonian!
Some other qualifications visitors may consider in touring with me include:
My Education:
Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Master of Business Administration, University of California, Irvine Master in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Art History, University of St. Thomas, Houston
My Language Proficiencies:
I am a native speaker in English and Spanish and have conducted tours in either language. I hope you can join me,
